Rizvi Millinerys Spring/Summer 09 couture and ready to wear collections see a collaboration with the textile artist Ptolemy Mann, a synthesis of shared aesthetics and obsessions; the saturated colours of the weaves are brought to life with Rizvis innate understanding of form, adorned with plumage, quills, Swarovski crystals and huge blooms. Sculptural shapes are infused with radical colour on colour combinations, stimulating the visual senses like never before.
Rizvi, Hat Designer of the Year 2008, has a signature style of strong, ultra-feminine, flattering headpieces which reference the glamour of an era gone by. The wearer is charged with a sensuality that no-one can ignore.
